Light and Peace
The Eurus Knights from the east and the Zephyroth Knights from the west are the holy protectors of the Luminous Church. Protected by these knights, the luminous religion has led the people of the world into a golden age of peace and prosperity.
The Shadow Comes
As a new millennium dawns, a taint of evil has begun to spread across the land. Recent attacks by monsters and supernatural phenomena appear to be the work of the evil "Witch of Immolation" that appeared with a burst of scorching flames. The people have been reminded of the destruction at Alheld, a world-shattering battle that took place a thousand years before...

"Protect the Light, Condemn the Darkness" is the motto Heath Arc Knight of the luminous church, and leader of the ever garden, a facility created to train a special group of soldiers to protect the church in these times of strife.
Story: 4/5
Alph and his brother Theo are orphans taken in by the church and trained to kill the evil witches. Yes, this game is a witch-hunt. You will make friends and tons of enemies throughout the adventure. There are plenty of plot twists and betrayals in this game to keep you hooked till the end of the story.
Sound: 3.5/5
The sound was very good. I was humming along to the background music as I was hunting down those evil witches.
Graphics: 2.5/5
The in-game animations were cool for a Nintendo DS game. The game-play graphics felt a bit outdated, like going back to the SNES days.
Game-play: 4/5
This game is a Strategy RPG - Kind of like playing chess, you have pieces that make up your team and you move and attack with them. When you are done, the other side takes their turn and so it goes. Each level of the game may have different rules like survive for 30 rounds, defend a person or thing from attack, kill an enemy leader or destroy all monsters.
When you complete a battle you are given the chance to chat with someone in your party. I recommend that you save your game just before you finish the battle just in case you mess up your conversation with the player you choose to speak to. I can't tell you how many times I turned off my system just to see what the other responses were in the conversation. You will get a valuable prize if you can max out the heart above their heads. I really liked the game play.
Replay Value: 3/5
I recommend this game for anyone looking for something new and refreshing with a bit of a challenge tossed in just for fun.
Overall: 4.5/5
I was surprised at how funny and action packed this sleeper hit was. Atlus deserves a huge thank you for creating a great gem on the Nintendo DS. This game would have gotten a 5/5 if it hadn't had the through back graphics to the SNES in the battle system.
Description of Luminous Arc
One thousand years ago, dragons and Witches warred against God for the fate of the world. God's power was triumphant, but it was a difficult struggle, and the deity sent Himself into a deep sleep to recover from the terrible wounds he suffered in the battle. Ten years ago, the Church has proclaimed that a great event will soon occur: God will be reborn, and the world will be led into a new golden age under His guidance.
