After picking up CrossworDS, I was mildly disappointed. Repetitive and unimaginative clues ('AAA, BBB, ..., DDD', so the answer is CCC, for example) made me lose interest quickly. Not so with the NYT Crosswords. Hundreds of unique puzzles of varying difficulty will keep you busy for a long, long, time, and the excellent wireless multiplayer mode helps when two want to play but you can't stand someone doing the puzzle over your shoulder. The handwriting recognition and interface are top-notch, and the hint system is there if you need it, but with enough restrictions you won't abuse it. If you have a DS and like crossword puzzles, pick this one up.Customer Review: Great game for crossword lovers!

I love the NY time crosswords. These are challenging and lots of fun. Very easy to maneuver around the grid (much better than Crossword DS). If you love a crossword challenge then this game is for you.Customer Review: NYT crosswords aren't easy!

I love this. The Sunday crosswords are of course the easiest. I can do Monday and Tuesday but I'm horrible after that. It's a real challenge but I have to say out of all the DS games I've gotten (quite a few) this is my favorite nightly game.
