Video Game Reviews of Brain Age: Train Your Brain in Minutes a Day!

Customer Review: Great for my brain
Summary: 4 Stars

I had a brain injury 4 years ago and I'm always looking for things that can help my memory. After buying this game and playing it everyday, I can tell such a omprovement in myself. It was a great purchase

Customer Review: Good and Bad
Summary: 3 Stars

It doesnt pick up handwriting well, and the voice calculator has problems with the number six, but its something i have gotten in the habit of doing every night

Customer Review: Rather Disappointed
Summary: 2 Stars

I cannot get the voice recognition function to work and therefore I cannot play any of the verbal games, only written math or Sudoku, which I do not enjoy. I expected there to be more options and definitely more reading/verbal skills building, so I really do not use this much.

Customer Review: Fun for the Family.
Summary: 4 Stars

BrainAge is a very fun game that gets the whole family involved. A little healthy competition between family members is good for you. :) You actually learn and improve on many things, including basic math and reading speed. I know I enjoyed it.

Customer Review: Annoying flaws mar decent games
Summary: 3 Stars

The games are OK: quick arithmetic, color recognition, keeping track of the number of people in a house, and so forth. However, the good is offset by the bad. The software's poor handwriting recognition often counts your arithmetic answers as wrong when they are correct. This would be less annoying if the game let you re-take quizzes to improve or correct your daily score.

The most annoying thing about Brain Age is the constant and unwanted presence of the cartoon character "Dr. K," who incessantly jabbers instructions and homilies when you just simply want to PLAY the darned games.

Based on my experience with Brain Age, I would not order Brain Age 2. As my next brain training game, I've ordered Brain Challenge. Based on the reviews, I hope that it will be better.
