Video Game Reviews of Diddy Kong Racing DSCustomer Review: This Game is Horrible Summary: 1 StarsIf you are looking for a cheep but okay DS racing game, stay away from this game. For anyone, buying this game is practically burning money. It's that bad. It is probably the easiest game I've bought.
Customer Review: I LOVE this game!!!! :D Summary: 5 StarsThis game is (next to Nintendogs) my favorite Nintendo Ds game!!!My favorite characters to play as are Bumper and Timber. There are sevreal diffrences in this game compaired to Diddy Kong Racing on the N64. One is some of the tracks in the game are a little bit diffrent in DKRDS than in DKR64, Most of the characters sound diffrent in DKRDS. Like Bumper sounds more mature and (in my opinion) hotter in this game, and unlike DKR64 Banjo and Conker are not in this game. Instead Tiny and Dixie Kong are in this game. But the one thing I really love about this game is when you shoot someone with a missle or when they run into your traps (oil slicks, snare bubbles, and landmines) You see their angry faces on the right bottom cornor on the top screen!! Oh man that is BRILLANT!!! It's so funny!!! But it's not so funny when they hit you or when you fall into their traps. Then you see them laughing at your face. And when you zoom past the person who's in 1st place you see their sad faces. and when your'e neck and neck with somone for 1st place you see your character's face and the other player's face. So that's my favorite thing about the game. So in conclusion if you liked Diddy Kong Racing on the N64, Then you'll love Diddy Kong Racing DS!!
Customer Review: Possibly underrated DS title (in the shadow of the Stache) Summary: 4 StarsI never played the 64 original so this is all new to me but I love this game the adventure/racing cross works great and gives the game alot more appeal than one where you simply try to win 3 or more races in a row (although it has the Trophy races as well) Three types of craft, harder to use Powerups, and a serious GIRTH to the unlockables makes the game feel a little deeper than your average racer as well. The single card multiplayer, nice colorful graphics and rumble pack support fill out an already PLUMP game if you like Mario Kart you should try this game it is really fun for old and young nintendo fans.
Customer Review: A Little Bit of a Let Down... Summary: 3 StarsI had heard all these good reviews about Diddy Kong Racing from the gaming magazines and when I got it home I was a little disappointed. The races are fairly easy to win, the story's kind of boring, and you have to do research on who in the world all these characters are (unless you're a big Donkey Kong fan). I wouldn't recommend spending the full MSRP for this game because it's just too easy to win (and it's not fun when you're lapping the person in 2nd place...).
Customer Review: It's a terrible mess! Summary: 1 StarsPlease, stay away from this game! Don't buy stuff like this, it's an insult and it doesn't deserve to be played, I went to the store where I bought it and returned it right away. I wanted my money back! Well instead I exchanged it for a better DS game, but well, I'm here to tell you my experience with DKR DS, so listen carefully. Graphics are terrible! I know the DS hasn't the best graphics, but this game really makes it look worst! The voice acting is awful and annoying and the music, well, there's no problem with the music at all. It gets boring from the first time you grab it, I know it's a game based on Nintendo characters, developed by Rare, but as soon as I started to play, it seemed to me like a very bad Mario Kart DS rip-off! MK looks and plays perfectly, but DKR is an insult! There are three types of vehicles in this game to choose from, a kart, a plane and a boat. The kart and the plane are OK, but the boat is uncontrollable, imagine a monkey on drugs driving on a road covered with ice. And of course you can tell this game was made by some mediocre programmers because it's full of glitches. No fun for one player, just a headache and a "been there, done that" feeling. Multiplayer may be good but i'm not gonna spread the word about this awful game. Sorry Diddy, your dad is still the star, not you, at least he chose to stay in the best kart game series ever, MK. Shame on you, Diddy.
