We already have one DS and one DSi in our house. But when my 5 year old said she wanted one for Christmas, the question was, should we ask Santa for the DS or the newer DSi.
For a younger child, this was all she needed. She has no need to browse the internet. We have a lot of game boy games that she can play on this that she would not be able to play on the DSi.
It is a pretty pink color and just what she wanted. It is a definite improvement on her Leapster.

I bought this for my daughter's Christmas present. She has yet to put it down except for when we took it away from her to ground her. She cried for an hour over that. This is an awesome way for her to waste time, keep occupied in the car (we made 3 different Christmas trips of over 2 hours one way), and punish her. Customer Review: Wonderful Product!!!

I bought this for my boyfriend, and he LOVES it!! The Ds is a beautiful silvery color and comes with 2 styluses and wall charger. I bought this when Amazon was having the lightening deals, so I got it for an excellent price of $32 cheaper. He is also able to play the old Gameboy games on this as well in the bottom slot. It's functional and it works. Great selection of games among a grand swath of crappy shovelware. Look for good games and you'll have fun.
