Video Game Reviews of Nintendogs Labrador Retriever & FriendsCustomer Review: One of the reasons i got a DS Summary: 5 StarsOne of the reasons i got my DS was for this game. i had heard so much around it the past few years that i begged my husband (using his account to write this) for it for a late Christmas present.
The game came today and i havent stopped playing!! It's all that i heard about and more! i picked a miniature pinscher and the graphics are so real she looks just like the one i used to have and the use of the voice command is a big plus.
This is one game that no dog lover/gamer can live without!
Customer Review: Love it and I am old! Summary: 5 StarsI received this game for Christmas. I am a 47 year old Mom with actual dogs of my own. I love this game! Since it is voice controlled, and I now have 3 vitual dogs in the house, I need to talk to the game frequently. I can honestly say that the 4 legged, hairy dogs I own, are jealous of the game! They will also sit, lie down and beg along with the virtual dogs! It is too wild. I play the game frequently and I find that you kinda get attached the virtual pets. Each pet has a different personality and reacts differently. It is just a hoot! The first time hubby took one of the dogs for a walk and it stopped to do it's business, he looked at me and said, "You have got to be kidding me!" It is just a fun game. Make sure to pet your pet often so it will sparkle and love you!

Customer Review: Nintendogs Labrador Retriever & Friends Summary: 4 StarsYou only need ONE yersion of this game, as all 4 games share the same 20 breeds. you start of with 6 breeds, and as you progress in the game, you unlock another 12 breeds, 2 additional breeds are only available when you find the firemans hat (Dalmation) and Jack Russell book (Jack Russell) while out on walks with your dogs. so don't be fooled into buying more than one version, unless it is for other siblings, so you know whose version is whose. It has taken me just under 2 months just about fully unlock my game. I have all 20 breeds, all the rooms and, most of everything else, I just might have the odd record to unlock.
The only noticable difference is that some of the toy/sports, like the rubber bone might be available in different colours on different versions, but if a friend has it they can swap on bark mode.
The walks and the constant brushing can get a bit tedious at times though.
I'm an adult with 3 kids. and 2 of my sons have this game as well, so we have 3 versions. But I still love playing this game
