I purchased this product to give my granddaughter for Christmas. Her and i are having lots of fun with it. There are many kid friendly recipes and it gives them the feeling of accomplishment when they serve something they fix themselves. I bought this for my 13 year old daughter for Christmas. It was one of 3 or 4 things she actually asked for. (She just has everything!! Being the only child and the only grandchild rocks!)
We haven't actually used it to cook a meal, but I have played with it and it's pretty cool. I like that it has meals from all over the world and that you can create a list for the grocery store. I don't like that it's just for the items in the recipe. I would have loved to have the ability to add other items to the grocery list.
I'd have to say this is a great idea - but we just haven't used it. I think it will be fun once we get into the kitchen. It's just not a lot of fun if you don't actually cook something. Imagine that?? ;)

A lot of the recipes call for ingredients you might not have, or may not use again. It does have recipes from all different countries though. I probably wouldn't have bought it if I had played it first.
