Video Game Reviews of The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass

Customer Review: Fun Puzzle Game
Summary: 4 Stars

This is a fun puzzle adventure game. I'm enjoying it and my 8-year-old daughter is having fun with it as well. And with two save slots, neither of us has to start over.

Customer Review: TLOZ: Phantom Hourglass Review
Summary: 5 Stars

It's a great game: intuitive controls, great story, the graphics are cool.

The only thing that I complain about it, seems short if you go straigh without looking any special item.

Totally recommended for fans and non-fans of the best saga ever!

Customer Review: Phantom Hourglass (no spoilers)
Summary: 5 Stars

Enter the world of Link, a young boy forced into coincidences that leads him to either saving the world, or let Chaos reign. Although it is a sequel to the GameCube game Wind Waker, it isn't required to play to understand what happens. Tetra boards the Ghost Ship in search of hidden treasures, but when he hears her scream, Link runs to the rescue. When he jumps towards the ship, he loses his grip and falls into the waters below...
Until an orange spirit much like a firefly called Ciela wakes him up on the shoreline of an island. She takes him to 'Grandpa', the man who has taken care of her ever since she washed up on the shore, too. With a sword he got from Grandpa, Link and Ciela walk into the Temple of the Ocean King, to find Linebeck, a prideful and idiot sailor stuck inside. Afterwards, he reluctantly agrees to take Link on his adventures to find Tetra, and regain Ciela's memories.
In the game you use the touch screen to chop, slice or spin with your sword. Although you can use the D pad and ABYX, the game can still be played with the touch screen only. The D pad is not an alternative to moving, unfortunately.
In order to further adventures, Link will travel to several islands, finding games, other spirits, and special minerals. You can also draw/write notes on the map on the top screen. The game's progress is mostly based on how you think. The puzzles and mazes aren't very hard, but if it's ever too difficult, it doesn't hurt to look it up online instead of getting frustrated. Overall, a great game that anyone could play, no matter what their gaming level is.

Customer Review: I'm in love with this game!
Summary: 5 Stars

I'm pretty new to the whole gaming thing...and VERY new to Zelda. The only other Zelda game I've played is the one for the original gameboy, and I couldn't figure out how to get past the first few minutes of the game (granted, I was 8). I got my nintendo ds about a year ago and loved it; I've also heard many great things about Phantom Hourglass. So, I decided to try it. I'm so glad I did. The story and gameplay are just amazing. It's so addicting! I'm not going to go into the technical stuff just because there are too many other great reviews that do this. Remember, I don't have any experience with Zelda games so I can't compare them to other versions. But, standing alone, I think this game is a lot of fun and well worth the money (I bought it used for $29.99). The greatest thing is that you don't need to have played the other games to understand the storyline or how to solve the puzzles (some of which are pretty hard!). However, it does make me want to find other Zelda games to play! I've heard there's a new one for DS coming out this fall...I'm DEFINITELY going to be picking that up! Simply a great game for those gamers that love Zelda, love puzzle/adventure games, or just love great entertainment!

Customer Review: A must have for your DS
Summary: 5 Stars

Zelda games never fail to entertain and amaze the fans, and this is no exception.

In this game you control Link with the stylus only, which may seem weird at first but after getting used is very fun. Buttons and pad are only used for accesing the menu faster. Also this game uses the microphone feature in ways that will amaze anyone that plays the game for the first time.

This game also features an online mode where you can battle people from all over the world, including friends (which you add using friend codes).

The only downside of this game is that it may seem too short if you play non-stop, but the experience is so fun that it won't matter.

Also a very important detail, before starting to play this game... BUY PROTECTION FILTERS for your screens. That is because since you're only going to be using the stylus it may wear out your touch screen. I personally recommend the Hori filters.
