Video Game Reviews of Imagine: Fashion Designer

Customer Review: Pretty Fun
Summary: 5 Stars

At first, the game seems kind of confusing and hard to understand, but then once you understand it, it gets really fun! That is until you get stuck on a task, which doesn't happen that often. It might be harder for younger kids, but it's a good game for kids over 11, I guess. Not really worth the whole $30. See if you can find it used.

Customer Review: Bad graphics and gets alittle boring at times
Summary: 2 Stars

This game was a hit until my daughter got to the the 9th level. It was very hard to see what the fashion creators want. It has to be the EXACT look the people want. Otherwise, you have to keep on trying and trying again and again. The graphics are "creepy" my daughter says. Sometimes, on the women they show parts that you should not see. This game is OK, but not the best. If your daughter loves fashion, I would not reccomend this game.

Customer Review: Don't buy this game!
Summary: 1 Stars

When I first got this game, I thought it was pretty fun. I liked completing the missions, but the missions always gave you very strict requirements for the outfits so I couldn't be too creative and had to make things just like they wanted. Also, the fashion designing is very basic: choose the color, design, and pattern of the garment. You can sometimes cut parts of the clothing like sleeves off, but overall the designs all look pretty similar and bland.

The real problem with the game though is that once all the challenges have been completed, there's nothing to do. I plan on selling this game at Gamestop or something because I've finished all the missions so it's boring now because there's no point. I can still design clothes or have a fashion show if I want but what's the point?

I also played imagine fashion designer new york, and I would highly recommend that one over this one. I haven't gotten to the end of that one, though, so i don't know if there's anything to do after you finish the missions, but it is way more fun because you get a character and you get to meet with other characters, etc.

So overall don't buy this game because you'll probably end up sorely disappointed like I was.

Customer Review: never ending
Summary: 4 Stars

this game is super fun when you get it, and lasts about two weeks. then you just play when you bored its not so bad when your bored. and the good thing about it is its a never ending game! it never ends you can make over millions of cloths!

Customer Review: Great Game!
Summary: 4 Stars

As soon as I started playing this game, it was hard to put down!

It is so much fun to design your own clothes, the possibilities are pretty much endless!

As some of the other reviewers mentioned, it is a pre-set design, but it is highly customizable! You can choose the cut, the color, the pattern, or just leave it blank, and there are a lot of accessories that you can use to enhance your outfits.

It is also fun to do the model's hair and makeup. With the tools you have, you can make her look like a whole other person!

Another great thing is the photography. You can take pictures of the models, and make the pictures black and white, wide-screen... again, very customizable. It is definitely one of my favorite parts! Also, you can display your photos in a album, sort of like a catalog for the agency, in a way.

There is a freestyle mode along with taking assignments. Luckily, you don't have to do the assignments, but they are still fun.

Which brings me to why I give this game four stars instead of five. It is almost IMPOSSIBLE TO BEAT THE GAME!!!! Like the other reviewers mentioned, some of the assignments are REALLY hard. It took a long time to get to the very last one, and I'm pretty much stuck on it forever. Even though you don't HAVE to beat the game because of the freestyle mode, it's still gives me a sense of accomplishment, (and believe me, the last level IS an accomplishment!)and you probably unlock something good, which means having all the available things in the game, which means more design options. You still have enough to live on, though.

All in all, I think this is an enjoyable game that is worth buying.
